What are your normal business hours?

Calscience's normal business hours are from 0830 to 1730 hours Monday through Friday. During these hours Client Services are available. With advance notification, arrangements can be made to communicate outside of normal business hours.

What are your business hours for sample receiving?

Calscience is open for sample receiving from 0730 to 2030 hours Monday through Friday and from 0830 to 1730 hours on Saturday. With advance notice, arrangements can be made for sample receipt at virtually any time.

When does the TAT clock begin?

The TAT clock begins at the date and time of sample receipt if sample receipt occurs during normal business hours (0830 to 1730 hours Monday through Friday). If sample receipt occurs outside of normal business hours, the TAT clock begins at 0830 hours the next business day.

When determining the TAT I need, should I include weekends and holidays?

No, TATs do not include weekends or holidays.

Besides the telephone, mail, and facsimile, are there other ways you can communicate with Calscience?

Yes, you can e-mail us. All PMs, Assistant PMs, and other key personnel have e-mail addresses. Your contacts would be happy to provide their e-mail addresses. For general information or requests, our e-mail address is sales@calscience.com.

What are the requirements for submission of samples?

All samples submitted to Calscience must accompanied by properly completed chain-of-custody (COC) or a purchase order that enumerates the specific analyses that are required. A COC can be downloaded from Chain-of-Custody Record under Forms.

Is Calscience authorized to receive soil samples from overseas and restricted sources within the United States?

Yes. Calscience is under permit (S-35286) by the United States Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services, Plant Protection and Quarantine, to receive soil samples from overseas as well as from restricted areas within the United States.

How do I open an account with Calscience?

Simply call Calscience at 714/895-5494 and ask for client services or simply download a credit application from Credit Application, complete it, and return via first class mail or email to sales@calscience.com.
